Super absorbent sacral dressing
Product Description
Eclypse Adherent Sacral is a super absorbent wound exudate management dressing for the sacral area with a Silfix soft silicone wound contact layer. Eclypse Adherent Sacral will only adhere to dry skin surrounding the wound and can be easily lifted for adjustment without losing its adherent properties.
The dressing has a rapid wicking face combined with the highly absorbent moisture locking system. The absorbent layer provides a large capacity with rapid fluid uptake uptake forming a gel on contact with exudate. The backing is a water resistant barrier film to prevent strike-through with a high moisture vapour transfer rate prolonging wear ability.

Use
Apply to wound (white silicone face down, beige side up) allowing a minimum of a 2cm border overlap around the wound area. Do not cut Eclypse Adherent Sacral. Eclypse Adherent Sacral must be changed before dressing reaches capacity but depending on wound exudate levels, may be left in place for up to seven days.
Top tip
Apply dressing in two stages; Fold in half to gain a crease down the centre, then ensure first half of dressing is sealed to skin prior to second half of dressing being exposed, to ensure good seal. This application method also reduces risk of unwanted folds and wrinkling of dressing.
Eclypse Adherent Sacral is ideally shaped for placing on hips, underarms or breast areas as well as the sacral area.
Indications
For all exuding wounds on the sacral area, for example pressure ulcers.
Eclypse® can be used as a Primary dressing on wounds where exudate management is required in a clean wound. Eclypse® can also be used as a Secondary dressing for exudate management where another primary dressing has been applied for treatment of the wound bed e.g. Collagen, Manuka Honey or Alginate.
Contra-indications
Do not use Eclypse Adherent Sacral on arterial bleeds and heavily bleeding wounds. Do not cut Eclypse Adherent Sacral and do not use if allergic to silicone.
