URGOTUL BORDER SILICONE
URGO’s range of foam pads are indicated for moderately to highly exuding ulcers. Due to their high technology, they have the ability to absorb large amounts of exudate vertically in order to avoid the phenomenon of wetting of the skin around the ulcer even under conditions of compressive dressing.
Foam pad with perimeter silicone adhesive
Urgotul Border Silicone are sterile, foam, multi-layered polymer dressings with perimeter silicone adhesive for moderately to highly exuding ulcers.
They consist of a self-adhering layer in contact with the wound (from microadhesive polymers and hydrocolloid molecules), lipid-colloid technology (TLC), which stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts and at the same time offers atraumatic and painless removal.
The central layer consists of 2 absorbent layers that provide, higher absorption capacity with excellent management of exudate, absorption of exudate in a vertical direction, resulting in the prevention of corrosion of the surrounding skin and high ability to retain fluids, without leakage, under pressure conditions.
Finally, waterproof soft silicone perimeter adhesive, impervious to micro-organisms to prevent contamination, but breathable to allow unobstructed skin breathing.The silicone adhesive can be glued and re-glued, without risk of injury to the surrounding skin and due to the neutrality of silicone, it is skin-friendly, without risks of causing allergies.

Urgotul Absorb are sterile, foamy, multi-layered hydropolymer pads, for ulcers with a medium to high degree of exudate.
They consist of a central part of expandable polyurethane with a three-dimensional (3-D) molecular structure that provides, excellent management of exudate, absorption of exudate in a vertical direction, high ability to retain liquids under pressure conditions.
Polyurethane outer film impermeable to micro-organisms to prevent contamination, but air permeable to allow evaporation.
In contact with the wound a contact layer of lipid-colloid technology (TLC) with microadhesive polymers and hydrocolloid molecules which make the patch self-adherent while at the same time offering non-traumatic and painless removal and proliferation of fibroblasts ( IN VITRO studies).
Available in various sizes and in a special shape for use on the heel or elbow.
